CHELSEA TRANSFER NEWS: BLUES 'PLANNING' TO SELL €20M ACADEMY STAR - ROMANO

Chelsea are planning to sell Armando Broja when he returns from his loan spell at Fulham, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Albania international moved to Craven Cottage on a six-month loan deal in January, but he has amassed just 58 minutes of action for Marco Silva’s side, mostly due to the form of Rodrigo Muniz.

Chelsea had hoped that a successful loan spell would increase Broja’s value ahead of a summer sale, however that plan has failed miserably amid his lack of game time at Fulham.

Regardless, the Blues are still planning on selling Broja on a permanent deal when the upcoming summer transfer window opens, as per Romano.

The transfer expert posted on X

(formerly known as Twitter): “Chelsea and Armando Broja are planning to part ways this summer. Permanent transfer expected as soon as he returns from Fulham loan.

“Albanian number one striker’s on the list of several clubs in Europe and Premier League, looking at him as main option.”

Armando Broja to leave Chelsea

Broja has been with Chelsea since 2009, after joining the club’s youth side from Tottenham Hotspur. He made his senior debut in March 2020 before enjoying successful loan stints at Vitesse Arnhem and Southampton in consecutive seasons.

The Albanian scored his first Blues goal during a 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in October 2022 and looked set for a consistent role in the first-team before he suffered an ACL injury during the international break for the Qatar World Cup.

Broja struggled to make an impact upon his return to injury and was loaned to Fulham in January.

He has four years left on his Chelsea contract, but he seems likely to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal this summer. Broja’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at just €17.3 million.
