Shoppers rejoice! Primark is finally making shopping even easier, by rolling out a click and collect service in all of its stores in England, Wales and Scotland.
The high street brand, which we all love for being extremely budget friendly, recently launched a trial in 57 stores.
After its success, you’ll now be able to grab your online orders in all 184 stores by the end of 2025.
Primark, which was founded in Dublin back in 1969, has dragged their heels when it comes to out-of-store shopping experiences – they only let customers start shopping online in 2019.
Currently, shoppers can only make use of the click and collect service in 57 of the brand’s shops and are limited to womenswear, children’s clothing and accessories. The retailer’s bosses have now confirmed that the service will be expanded to include menswear, home and lifestyle items.
Click and collect is free to use but you must spend a minimum of £10.
The service was first launched in November 2022 with 25 stores taking part, and it was then expanded to 32 more stores last year.
Primark chief executive Paul Marchant said: ‘Our trial of click and collect over the last 18 months has been about understanding how we can offer our customers greater convenience to shop with us wherever they are, but in a way that complements our business and our stores.
‘We’re now confident that we’ve found a model that can do both and support us with our plans to grow the business.
‘The feedback from our customers has been positive as they really value the convenience our service offers and we’re also seeing it’s reaching new customers too.’
The expansion of click and collect is the latest change happening at Primark. The beloved high street favourite starting adding blue stickers to its paper shopper bags to deter shoplifters, in what was called a ‘terrible sign of the times’.
Staff working at the tills at some Primark branches have started to seal the paper carrier bags with blue stickers that say ‘sold’.
It’s part of an ongoing trial at Primark, which is being rolled out at shops across the UK and Ireland. However the brand has not confirmed which shops are taking part.
At the outlets taking part, which were not revealed by Primark, customers carrying bags without the stickers will be stopped at the door by security guards.
Here are the 57 stores that are part of Primark’s click and collect trial:
