WHEN IS THE BOAT RACE 2024? START TIME, TV CHANNEL, LATEST WEATHER, ODDS FOR OXFORD VS CAMBRIDGE TODAY

The Boat Race returns this afternoon for the annual battle between Oxford and Cambridge universities.

It was Cambridge who prevailed last year to make it 86-81 in the historic tally ahead of this, the 169th edition of the men’s race.

Oxford has been dominated to a greater degree in the women’s event, having last won in 2016, but they are favourites for the 2024 showpiece in both categories.

As ever, the 6.8km course will run across west London from Putney to Mortlake.

The build-up to this year’s Boat Race has been marred, however, by the threat of E. coli to the participants.
